Breast Screening
What is breast screening and why am I being invited?
The NHS offers breast screening for the early detection of breast cancer. A mammogram (breast x-ray) is used to detect cancers in the breast that are too small to see or feel.
Under the screening programme, you will automatically be sent your first invite between your 50th and 53rd birthday and this is repeated every 3 years depending on your results. You can opt-out and rejoin the programme at any time.
